It is going to be yet another military based story from the Major Ravi. Ravi is one of the phenomenal directors to direct military based stories and he is now set for his next project “Kandahar�. It is going to be Mohanlal who is going to play a lead role of Colonel Mahadevan, he has previously done such role in the previous two Major Ravi hits like Keerthichakra and Kurukshetra, and the movie will also have Amitabh Bachchan, donning a cameo.

According to sources, the film’s distributors Max Labs is planning to release the film in over 100 screens in Kerala.
The film, which marks the coming together of India’s two finest actors Amitabh Bachchan and Mohanlal after their Ram Gopal Varma ki Aag, is the first Malayalam film starring Amitabh Bachchan. Being made in Malayalam, Tamil and Telugu, Kandahar revolves around the hijack of the IC-814 flight that happened a few years ago.Ganesh Venkataraman of Abhiyum Naanum and Unnaipol Oruvan fame plays a meaty role as Amitabh Bachhan’s son, an angry young commando whose life undergoes a change when he meets Major Mahadevan, played by Mohanlal. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of Kannada actress Ragini Dwivedi, who plays Ganesh’s love interest.
